Conference and technical visit at Østerild

I am so glad to share with you the amazing experience of participating in my first conference in this project!
Technical system degradation conference - took place in liptovsky mikulas which are the military academy in Slovakia, between 04/04/18 and 07/04/18. The event was quite challenging for me since it was almost fully in polish.

How can triangulation make your research more reliable!!

Effective research is the outcome of communication. Discussing with others is more efficient compare to our lonely struggle with the material. It is really important to talk with others about our work,in addition to spending a good amount of time for reading, writing, and conducting experiments, because this will provide quicker and better solutions to problems that we may encounter. And specially if it's industry people, experts then we can see the practical aspects of our research.

One year experience of being an Early Stage Researcher (ESR)

Why i decided to become an Early Stage Researcher?I was working in an organization before becoming an ESR. I did my internship at Deutsche telekom, so i was aware of the industrial perspective of a research, and I wanted to accelerate my technical technological knowledge so that I could cope up with the theoretical and practical aspects of research. That is the reason, I applied for the ESR position, to add more knowledge content to my profile. This knowledge comes from beneficiaries and partner organizations involved in the program as well as the recruited ESRs. They are from different domains and countries. A architectural model that describes my Phd Goal

My task in the project is to integration of sensor and local signal procession. Now i will try to explain architectural model from system engineering approaches which will describe my Phd Goal.  Following the architectural model (AM), the AM diagram of a sensor integration is shown below. The diagram includes entity, aspects, requirements and functions of the sensor integration.


Consider a stakeholder, such as bridge contractor. They have an excessive amount of maintenance on bridges due to demands from fatigue safety and monitoring considerations. Because, bridges need to be maintained to identify of possible damage. And monitoring  is really costly because good monitoring needs ''good sensor'' which can give meaningful information. But in practise it is difficult to get meaningful information from one sensor, that is the reason sensor integration for monitoring system recognized as a significant problem. A Successful Scientific Night

On Saturday, October 14, The Silesian University of Technology held its 12th edition of Scientific Night - The Art of Science. I participated the art of science and showed some scientific experiment. The NeoStrain families also participated in science night activities. NeoStrain came with a crack measurement scale and snow monitoring system. And we had a demonstration of body weight application by using two strain gauge sensor in the bridge and detecting the speed of the hitting to the board application using the accelerometer. The speed of the hitting on the Board application: We can detect the speed of the ball throwing on some object using basic physic of Accelerometer.  Speed or velocity comprises of two things if some objects travel at a known distance in a known amount of time this is known as velocity.

BLEIB structure at BAM

Hi Everyone!
Here i am again!!  In my last blog, I have mentioned about my secondment. So last week, I had a hard working day in Horstwalde to see the different nondestructivetechnique for BLEIB structure. And I and xin (ESR1) used the embedded ultrasonic sensor to measure the static and dynamic changes in BLEIB structure.  Here is the picture of beam:

Secondment and advance NDT&E training in BAM, Germany

Hi Everyone!
Here i am again!!  I have started my secondment on 1st of July in BAM, Germany. Oh yes, ''A secondment is a name given to temporary work which is assigned to a researcher in a different area from which they are already working on the project''. As i am working in a European project (Infrastar) so I have to go for secondment to work with other ESR. That is the reason i am here (BAM). And i will be here for three months. I was bit lucky when i came to BAM, because there was advance  NDT training workshop. So i had a chance to participate this workshop.  I have to say that it was an interesting experience, met lots of interesting people in BAM. Other engineers, researcher (working on NDT), which makes me happy to see such an interest in NDT testing. But mostly, the opportunity to hands on experience on sensor and measurement and discuss my work, reuniting some good comments, good contacts, that was great.
